Frequently asked questions

What can I expect from therapy?

Everyone's therapeutic journey looks different! I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities to best suite the needs of each individual client. These modalities include but are not limited to: Person centered, CRM, IFS/parts work, EMDR, attachment focused, CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and more. Your timeline is going to depend on your goals, your background, and what your body is ready for. With any trauma informed work, slow is fast and I help my clients attune to their nervous systems and go at the pace that works best for them.
Who do you work with?

My ideal client is anyone who is ready to do the deeper healing or is maybe looking for the confidence or knowledge to do so. Some of my specialities include PTSD/CPTSD, attachment failure, veterans/first responders, women's health, prenatal/postpartum populations including traumatic grief and loss, complex fertility journeys, depression, anxiety disorders, and athletic performance.
Where do I go for therapy?

Right now, Rise + Align Counseling is a fully remote telehealth service. You can access therapy from the comfort of home or wherever you feel the most connected or grounded.
 Do you take my insurance?

In order to serve my clients in the most comprehensive way without limitations, I do not currently accept insurance. I can provide a super bill monthly to submit to insurance for reimbursement upon request
 What is the cost?

To begin the counseling process, I always begin with a full comprehensive evaluation that includes diagnosis and an individualized treatment plan. The cost is $250 for the hour
Individual counseling is $175/ hour or $225/ 90 minute session
Intensive EMDR is $150 / hour

 What is intensive EMDR?

EMDR or, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is currently one of the most effective non- prescription therapeutic modalities to address PTSD and traumatic events. Check out our blog for more information! Intensive EMDR is an opportunity to spend more than the usual therapeutic hour to work through traumatic events.  Typically the minimum intensive EMDR session is 3 hours of reprocessing. This does not include the initial target planning and resourcing. Following an intensive EMDR session, we will also set a future appointment to check our work and make sure everything settled safely. If you have any questions or curiosity about this process, please reach out and we can take a complimentary 20 minutes to chat more about it!

Intensive EMDR is most useful for traumatic events that have occurred in the last 4-6 months, before the trauma has a chance to globalize. However, intensive EMDR is also appropriate for individuals with longer term or more complex traumas as long as we have a good idea of where to look. The main goal of intensive work is shortening treatment time
